Founded in 2007, Zanasi & Partners (registered brand of “Zanasi Alessandro Srl”) is a security research and advisory company active in the EU and MENA areas. Z&P serves its customers by focusing on technology solutions for security and intelligence needs. Its main clients include national and international public institutions - including LEAs and intelligence agencies - and leading technology companies. Its professionals and partners (former LEA officers, academic and industrial researchers) can rely on a two-fold background: security/intelligence and advanced technology skills. The company was appointed by the European Commission as full member of ESRIF (European Security Research and Innovation Forum) in 2007, following the appointment of its founder to ESRAB (European Security Research Advisory Board) in 2005. ESRAB and ESRIF are the two EC committees dedicated to defining EU policies and funding on security research.
Role in TRESSPASS:
Z&P will lead WP1 'End-user needs and requirements', due to its experience in delivering border control related research and advisory projects as well as to its long-term history of cooperation with law-enforcement agencies. Under WP1, Z&P will lead the collection of end-user requirements and contribute to the development of the TRESSPASS risk-based border management concept, related scenarios and to defining the project's legal framework. In WP2, Z&P will leverage its expertise in risk assessment methodologies and human factors in border control to drive the identification of risk indicators and support the definition of methods for threat and risk assessment as well as for information sharing between international authorities. In WP4, Z&P will bring expertise in big data analytics and social media analysis to support the establishment of the project's web intelligence framework as well as work on data fusion and real time behaviour analytics. Z&P will also be involved in WP5 and WP6, where it will provide inputs from WP1, and WP10, where it will actively contribute to the project's dissemination and exploitation efforts.
